Description: [Lincoln's Inn Heraldic Studios], 1888. 625 x 430 mm. hand painted and illuminated on vellum, mounted framed and glazed. Mussett and the Heraldic Studio was a multi-generational business, in 1913 they were advertising that they had been at the same address for upwards of a century. A magnificent and large vellum illuminated advertising poster showing off many of the skills of the artist and illuminator, almost certainly for display in their premises. A George Musset, heraldic artist, was reported to have died in a car accident in 1985, perhaps the last of the line.
