Description: Penzance: Beare and Son, printer, c. 1841? Broadside, 375 x 245 mm. framed and glazed, some wear along old folds. The author, Henry Quick [1792 - 1857] was a Cornish poet who wrote about rural life in his home county. Most of his poems were published, as here, in broadside form. An acrostic using his subject's name is appended. As well as the long poem, there is a list of William Thomas, senior's 23 children, born between, 1801 and 1841> no mention of his wife's name. A second William Thomas is listed, born a few days after the death of his eldest son.
