Description: European Jute Dealers' Association, c. 1910. Coloured folding map, 1100 x 920 mm. mounted on linen, some old discolouration to the cloth case. Based on the official Survey of India maps and at a scale of 1 inch to 4 miles [here at 16 miles to the inch], this area is still the major jute producing region of the world. Although based on the official surveys, I have been unable to trace another example of the map in this form which would probably have been produced in relatively small numbers.
