A broadsheet advertising public visits to the first tunnel under the Thames built by Brunel using his revolutionary tunnel shield. Originally designed as a passage for carriages it was never used for this purpose and in 1865 was purchased for use a rail tunnel. The charge to visitors was an attempt to defray some of the costs of construction.
