Vol. 1 states: "Zweite, verbesserte Auflage" while Vols 2-4 lack an edition statement, but list dates as follows: Vol. 2: (1756); Vol. 3 (1769); Vol. 4 (1773). Vol. 1 preceded by "Ode an Seine Majestät Friedrich den Fünften, König in Dannemark und Norwegan." This state without individual plates. Spine ends, backstrips, and joints worn; some loss of paper at corners of boards, book seller label on front pastedown of first volume, foxed endpapers, but otherwise interior clean and binding title; still about very good.
