Juan Jose Viamont (1774-1843), commander of the troops, exhorts his officers and soldiers in their fight, to carry themselves nobly, and not to give offense to the local population "no dar el menor motivo de queja." Viamonte was captured by the Artigas' forces at the Parana River, but was released after a year. OCLC shows three copies: Berkeley, JCB, BN Chile. Furlong IV, 3192.
