It was his best and most popular work, published in a number of editions and reprinted nearly fifty times in the seventeenth century as well as being translated in to ten languages; it no doubt had its influence on the English novels to follow. Wing B714. Original boards rubbed and chipped have been repaired and laid on to new spine; endpapers and a few preliminary leaves with some minor foxing, otherwise leaves very crisp and clean and overall volume tight. A nice copy of this important work.
