Thomas Wright (1810-1877), English antiquary and scholar, helped found the Camden, Percy, and Shakespeare Societies, and wrote often of the middle ages; this was his penultimate work. Bands, edges, and corners rubbed and scuffed, small tear to head of spine and rear gutter, marbled endpapers heavily scuffed with loss especially at gutters, hinges started but still tight, light scattered foxing, plates bright, leaves crisp. A good solid copy in an elaborate binding.
