Lowndes in his Bibliographer's Manual (London: Henry G. Bohn, 18640. Rushworth's Collection ''is full of vastly curious and valuable matter.'' - Bp. Warburton. In the historical part Rushworth is as partial in his narrative on the side of the Parliament as Nalson (in his work An Impartial Collection of the Great Affairs of State, from the beginning of the Scotch Rebellion in 1639 to the murder of King Charles I. 2 vols. Folio. London: 1682-3). is on the side of the King; and they are both to be consulted with great allowance for their partiality. Bound in recent buckram/cloth, gilt bands, red leather title labels, full gilt edges, all bindings in excellent clean condition, hinge joints strong without any wear. Internally, some general light age browning, a few page with light staining to edges, but text in good clean condition throughout. A very good clean well bound 8 volume work. Very Good.
