Description: Amsterdam, Janssonius Waesbergen, 1733. With engraving in text of the weapon of Amsterdam + frontispice. Nice decorated vellum binding with the weapon of Amsterdam on both boards + 4 ties. 8vo (II), (XVI), 862, (32), (34) upperside text throughout the book slightly waterstained, frontboard a bit damaged, otherwise in good condition ¶ 'Francisco Sanchez de las Brozas (1523-1601) was professor in Greek and Latin literature at Salamanca. His mainwork 'Minerva' was judged very well in the academic world and was reprinted many times. It formed the basis of Caspar Schoppe's 'Grammatica' (1576-1649).
