Description: London nd. c 1925 16pp, bw ills throughout 27x21, stapled card wraps Staples rusted, very good thus. The Silverlite generator used petroleum as a fuel, converting into gas by agitating the liquid with paddles (!), with pressure provided by weights. It was used to generate power in buildings without access to domestic supply, such as stately homes and agricultural colleges. It also seems to have been popular across the Empire, with examples here in the Middle East and West Africa.
