The earliest surviving example of a multi-storey iron-frame and panel structure building, the same method of construction as the Crystal Palace and the original museum building at South Kensington. The boat store is now Grade I listed, and is on Historic England's buildings at risk register. The photographs in this offprint are particularly good.
