Viollet-le-Duc's famous encyclopedia of French furniture and furnishings.The original owner of this set was James Kellaway Colling - his name is in pencil on the title pages - the noted architect, artist and printer. The subsequent owner was Edmund Blair Leighton, well known for his highly stylised romantic and historic genre paintings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries; his signature is in ink in each volume.
