The Central Manufacturing District of Chicago was the first planned and privately owned business district in the United States, established in 1905 and now on the National Register of Historic Places. This magazine was published by the Trustees monthly from 1916 and annually from the earlier 1960s. The five articles each cover a decade of the District's history, and are full of photographs and lists of the businesses that moved in during each period.
