Description: London, The Studio 1908 320pp, numerous illustrations and tip-ins, these with tissue guards, some in colour 29x22, decorated green cloth, bevelled edges, glt lettering to spine. Standard Studio binding, front a little rubbed, slight shelf-wear, light foxing on some pages, contents generally very good. Review of the latest Vienna Seccessionist exhibition, and the Third Darmstadt Exhibition (the Hessian Regional Exhibition) with its mixture of architecture and fine and applied arts: Albin Müller is featured heavily in the latter. One of the longer articles is on the New Indian School of Art, an attempt to restore to their rightful place the traditions and history of Indian art and counter imperialist notions of the superiority of the Western classical idiom.
