Description: London, The Studio 1911 342pp, [2] adverts, xvi (illustrations of competition winners, bound in after each issue), numerous illustrations and tip-ins, these with tissue guards, some in colour 29x22, decorated green cloth, bevelled edges, glt lettering to spine. Standard Studio binding, front and spine nice and bright, slight shelf-wear, light foxing on some pages, a few of the tissue guards creased, contents generally very good. Works by Max Bohm, and the Colony of American Artists in Paris. Article on William Nicholson includes a reproduction of his 'Carlina', a striking nude study of his first mistress and subsequently second wife, Marie Laquelle. There is also a well illustrated article on the woodcuts of Walther Klemm, indicating a future direction of art. [NB - Heavy item, may required additional postage to some destinations]
