Title: Report of the London Traffic Branch of the Board of Trade 1910 [Cd. 5472.]
Description: London, HMSO 1911 vi, 195pp, 7 large fold out maps, as called for, various tables. 34x22, original wraps. Wraps worn and torn, spine strip splitting with areas of loss, page edges browned and rubbed, maps clean and intact, with a couple of small closed tears, good for very fragile item. The annual reports of the London Traffic Branch were updates on progress on addressing the problems identified in the 1905 Royal Commission on the Means of Locomotion and Transport in London. A comprehensive scheme of improvements to all modes of transport was required. The maps are particularly good, but the text also includes lots of useful detail. Jekyll was the brother of the gardener and landscape architect Gertrude.
