Description: London, Macrae 1794 95pp, 2 plates 25x21, quarter bound in calf, marbled boards, calf label with glt text and border. Very good in attractive modern binding. Very nice copy of this initial survey of the county's agriculture. This slim volume was given out free to landowners and others with an interest, with a request for copies to returned with comments written in the margins so that a more detailed survey could be prepared. Given that Malcolm produced a huge three volume study ten years later, one can only assume that a lot of copies of this were returned, with substantial margin notes.
