Description: London, LCC, 1900. xvi, 381pp incl 62 plans, many being fold-out. 25x17, glt lettered cloth Cloth faded and grubby, with a conspicuous white paint mark on the spine, corners rubbed and bumped, edges dusty, small pieces missing from ffep and rfep, contents clean, fair copy thus. A superb account of early municipal projects in London. The schemes are described in great detail and the maps are equally informative. An outstanding social document and extremely scarce. The work is in the same format as the next item and was the first part of an ongoing series (There is some overlap in dates between the first two volumes)
