Description: London, Jones & Co. 1829 iii, 160pp, 80 engraved tissue-guarded plates. 28x22, half bound in red morocco over patterned cloth, glt decoration and text on spine, all edges glt. Very good indeed, lovely copy. Related to the Metropolitan Improvements volume also published by Jones (they are sometimes bound together as a single volume), this focuses more on the historic and famous buildings of the capital, using Shepherd's elegant drawings as the basis for the engravings (Weinreb and Breman, 24:34)
