Lenygon was both an expert on the history of furniture and a highly successful cabinetmaker in his own right, holding Royal Warrants from four successive monarchs, and being commissioned by Nelson Rockefeller as the lead consultant on the reconstruction of Colonial Williamsburg, VA.
