Lovely guidebook marking the completion of the repair work to the ruins of the cathedral destroyed by bombing in November 1940; the foundation stone for the new cathedral was laid in 1956. Howard, who had led the fruitless efforts to save the building from the fires caused by the bombing, was responsible for the words "Father Forgive" which are carved into the stones of the ruined sanctuary of the old cathedral.
