Title: Report of the Departmental Committee on Greater London Water Supplies
Description: London, HMSO 1948 15pp, tables, figures, 4 folded maps (some in colour) loosely inserted in rear pocket. 33x21, stapled wraps. Wraps rather grubby and rubbed, contents good, some pencil margin notes and underlinings, maps in pocket very good. Overall fair to good condition for fragile item. The Committee had been given the task of considering how the capital's water supply should be arranged. The Metropolitan Water Board were making the case for a new and very large water authority (one of the maps is their proposal), and the Committee agreed that administration should be pooled across this wider area. But the variety of dissenting opinions from members of the Committee show that there was still disagreement about the nature and arrangements that should be pursued.
