Description: London, Longmans 1867 34pp, 35 plates of which 2 in colour and several double page. 39x28, red-brown cloth with glt lettering. Cloth marked and bumped, spine pulled with a small closed tear, tissue guard on coloured frontispiece (plate 1) creased, a couple of pages slightly loose, contents good thus. Plans for elegant and sometimes expansive houses and out-buildings for aristocratic estates. Dean dedicated the book to the Earl of Leicester, whose Holkham Estate was reworked by the architect, with particular attention paid to the new buildings for the Earl's prize herd of Devon cattle.
