Description: London, Hutchinson 1915 32pp, 100 heliotype plates, no 8 of 200 copies. 43x33 plates in brown cloth covered folio. Cloth somewhat marked, strings missing from folio, contents very good. Very nicely produced set of images of historic interiors from across Belgium. Movingly, given the year of publication, the final five plates are of buildings in Ypres, including the Cloth Hall - all were destroyed in WWI. Schepens, the translator, is described on the title page as "Belgian Bibliophile", which is as good a epithet as anyone could wish for!
