Author: ROYAL FINE ART COMMISSION Title: Twenty-Second Report: October 1971-December 1984
Description: London, HMSO 1985 80pp, 4pp of colour plates. 30x21, card wraps. Covers a bit creased and rubbed, contents good. Extensive report from the Commission (without really explaining the enormous delay since their previous report), with details of the correspondence between the Commision and the exasperated chief engineering of West Sussex Council about the design of a contentious bridge over the river Arun being a particular high point. An interesting survey of a key period in changing atttitudes to conservation of architecture.
