Two marks on spine cloth, corners a little bumped, very slight pulling to top and bottom of spine, ffep browned, contents very good indeed. Dealing mainly with houses built before the 19th century, this work illustrates how they might be altered to meet the needs of the 20th, while preserving their earlier character and fabric. The frontispiece shows 5 half-timbered cottages made into a single house.
