Extract from the Architectural Review describing the entries in the late 1980s competition to replace Holford's 1950s scheme for Paternoster Square. Entries from Foster, Rogers, MacCormac Jamieson Prichard Wright, SOM, Stirling and Isozaki and featured in this review; the winning entry from Arup is not on the grounds it was extensively reviewed elsewhere. It look another 7 years and the rejection of both Arup's scheme and a later one by Simpson before redevelopment started.
