XVII index refers to "Arkansaw" mission and boatman on the Ohio readiness to hear gospel, Cherokee mission and correspondence, Cherokee religious experience, Choctaw mission, death of the Chinese emperor, American Colonization Society, visit to Jerusalem and Dead Sea, etc., etc., Vol. XVIII index refers to the Chickasaw mission, the Madras Bible Society, the Great Osages mission, progress of religion in Greenland, passage over the Tennessee river, heathen superstitions, state of education in Sweden, etc., etc., and reference in both volumes to the most remote areas of the world - CR.
