He was banned from the city in 1477 after which he moved to Gelderland. In the view of Jacobus Scheltema he was the author of this version of Reynard The Fox, that was repeatedly reprinted throughout Europe and was the source of many translations. This edition, published by Vincent Loosjes, contains the text in middle dutch verses on one page and the translation in prose by Scheltema on the adjacent page.
