Complete set of 9 volumes, considerably damaged bindings, full leather bindings with gold tooled spine and two title plates (one in red, one in green leather). All volumes have damage to the spine, with broken hinges, loose cover boards and one spine is missing entirely. In comparison, the book blocks are in far better condition, but there are some loose and damaged pages. The printwork is clear and without much stains. 574+732+724+552+807+619+577+624+526 pp. + index. With an ex libris from Sir Frederick Pollock and Wm. Wilfrid Webb (Odstock). Sir Frederick Pollock, 3rd Baronet PC, FBA (1845-1937) was an English jurist best known for his History of English Law before the Time of Edward I, written with F.W. Maitland.
