During his career he was a deputy, judge, lieutenant general in the bailiwick of Vesoul and president of the assembly of voters. Aquatint portrait in etched decorative border, on hand laid paper, sheet size 230 x 174 mm. Engraved by Pierre Charles Coqueret after Delaplace, published in the series 'Collection générale des Portraits de MM. les Députés à l'Assemblée Nationale Constituante, tenue à Versailles le 4. Mai 1789'. This series was published by Nicolas-François Le Vachez in 1789. Pierre Charles Coqueret (Paris 1761-1851 Saint-Florentin) was a French aquatint engraver. He exhibited at the Salon from 1798 to 1810. Jacques Delaplace (Vernon 1767-after 1831) was a French (court) painter and miniature portrait painter. In very good condition, cropped within platemark. Some faint soiling in the margin edges.
