August Weger (Nuremberg 1823-1892 Leipzig) was a German steel engraver, active from c. 1840 to 1870. From 1849 he worked in Leipzig. In fair condition, doubled on grey-blue paper, quite some foxing and soiling in the margins, some foxing in the image area. A horizontal crease from the left marign into the image area. With a collection mark (Lugt 4100, non identified) stamped on the verso.
