Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 192 x 128 mm. Engraved by Jean Jacques Flipart after the painting by Rogier van der Weyden. This engraving was published in: Sellius and Dujardin. Histoire générale des Provinces-Unies. Paris: Pierre Guillaume Simon, 1760, vol. 4, p. 165. Jean Jacques Flipart (Paris 1719-1782) was a French reproductive engraver and illustrator. Rogier van der Weyden (Doornik 1399/1400 - 1464 Brussels) was a South Netherlandish painter and draughtsperson. In very good condition, although cropped within platemark.
