Jean Baptiste Madou (Brussels 1796 - 1877 Sint-Joost-ten-Node) was a Belgian lithographer, painter and draughtsperson. Otto Christopher baron von der Howen (Jelgava 1774 - 1848 Nijmegen) was a Dutch military man: Lieutenant Colonel, Chief Adjutant and Lieutenant General of King Louis Napoleon. He was also a painter, lithographer, printmaker, illustrator and draughtsperson. Among other works, he illustrated: Howen, O. Vues pittoresques des bords de la Meuse, depuis Namur jusqu'à Dinant, 1818; and: Clouet, J.P. de. Voyage pittoresque dans le Royaume des Pays-Bas, 1825. In good condition. The image clean and fresh. Margins with some small creases and faint dampstains and soiling (only affecting the top left corner of the image).
