Oskar Paul Matthes (Kaliningrad 1872 - 1956 Bergholz-Rehbrücke) was a German autodidact lithographer, etcher, draughtsman and painter. From 1901 to 1910 he was active in the Netherlands, before moving to Luzern, and later Potsdam. Most of his etchings are landscapes and cityscapes. In fair condition, the top edge irregular, with small nicks and creases (not affecting image). Right margin edge browned. Some general small creasing in the margins.
