Description: Three greyhounds in a landscape, one squatting to defecate. Etching on hand laid paper, made by Jacob de Jonckheer after his own design. Sheet size 179 x 138 mm., c. 1660-1673. This print is part of a series of four, two by Jonckheer, and two by Van Hillegaert. Jacob de Jonckheer (died 1676, Utrecht) was a Dutch painter, etcher and printmaker, active in Venice 1656-1657 and afterwards in Utrecht until 1672. In good condition, margins cropped to or within platemark. A diagonal crease in the top left. With the collector's mark of Pim van Eekelen (Lugt 5101) stamped on the verso.
