Engraving on laid paper, by Cornelis Visscher (1628 - 1658) after Pieter Soutman (ca. 1580 - 1657), published by Soutman in 1650, sheet size: 474 x 345 mm., platemark 440 x 311 mm., sheet overall a little browned, some small stains in the edges of the image area, small tears and some paper loss in the right margin. Ref.: Hollstein 31. Cornelis Visscher was probably a student of Pieter Soutman, so here we have an instance of the student directly copying their master.
