Description: [Middelburg, Zacharius en Michiel Roman, 1644], 4to., full parchment spitsel binding, with handwritten title on spine and yap edges, 471+620+[4] pp., smudged parchment, untidy endpapers, incomplete without titlepage or preface, mainwork intact, construction still fairly solid, with some notes in the margins (in ink and pencil). Two volumes in one binding, each with a seperate half title. The first volume with some decorative initials and heraldic crests of main Zeeland cities or regions like Vlissingen, Veere, Walcheren and Tholen. The second volume is concerned with the histories of Zeeland nobility with portraits of various counts. All illustrations woodcuts. From the collection of Jelle Kaspersma and Alie Vinke (2012) and earlier A. Blok te Borsselen (1930)
