Description: Gorinchem, Cornelis Lever, 1684, 4to., later half leather binding with marbled paper, blue sprinkled edges and title in gold lettering on spine, [34]+874+[50]pp., the binding is in good condition, but the bookblock is rather worn with waterstains throughout the bookblock and some fragile pages with tears and weak spots, especcially the first three pages including the engraved frontispiece and titlepage. There are also signs of some restoration work. A small token from the past survived between the pages: a lovely dried flower between pages 34-35. With an engraved frontispiece (S.B. inv. P. Philippe sculp.), a woodcut vignette on the titlepage and some decorative initials.
