Description: Convolute: 1) Meppelt, Alexander Voogt, 1783, small 4to., blue paste paper binding with title plate on spine, 28 pp., titlepage worn with smudges and a tear, fragile hinges, printwork in good condition, typographical decoration with motto on titlepage (Heere ontfermt Uw over het Land maekt d'Academie voorspoedig, ende de Inwooners van Leyden Verstandig), in three chapters. The last two chapters with a second titlepage (continuously numbered): "Het tweede en Derde Capittel der Oude Cronyken der Schutteryen in de Stad", Meppelt, Alexander Voogt, 1783. 2) Het Boek Anonymi, genaamt Deutero Jubilon, without place, printer or date [attributed to C. van Lennep (uncertain), Leiden, 1775], 8vo, 15 pp., woodcut tailpiece. l Rare texts by unknown author(s). Written in a biblical style, full of irony. The first texts mock the Orangist opinions of J.J. Luzac, J. le GFranq van Berkney and W. Bilderwijk.
