An English translation was started by Thomas Jefferson, but remained incomplete when he became occupied with the 1800 presidential campaign. The translation was finished by Joel Barlow. Also translated in Dutch as: "De puinhoopen. Beschouwing van de omwenteling der staten gevolgd van de natuurlijke wet" in 1881.
