From of a set of sixteen plates representing scenes from Scarron's 'Roman Comique', engraved by Gérard Scotin, Benoît Audran, Edme Jeaurat, Louis and Pierre Louis Surugue, and Bernard Lépicié, after Jean Baptiste Pater and Jacques Dumont c.1730/35. Titled on the bottom, with address 'a Paris chez L. Surugue rüe des Noyers vis-a-vis le mur de St. Yves. avec Privilege du Roy'.
