Description: Blue cardboard binding with yapp edges. The front shows a gilded illustration of a goblin, surrounded by blind-stamped plant decoration. Gilt lettering on the spine and gilded top edge. De yabb edges are slightly scuffed and the endpapers show light foxing. The contents are in very good condition. 9 x 11,5 cm (yapp incl.), [9] 10-93 [4] pp. The book contains a full-page sepia coloured frontispiece and twelve full-page illustrations by Laurence Housman, of which four are double-paged. Thirty-two smaller illustrations are placed throughout the text. This book is a miniature version of the original Goblin Market (illustrated by Housman) published in 1893. l This rare book (only two other copies available online) is a beautiful example of the early 'Golden Age'. Goblin Market is a poem by Christina Rossetti (1830-1894, sister of the famous pre-Raphaelite artist Gabriel Rossetti) that she composed in 1859. It
