Description: Twelfth engraving from the suite of 12 entitled 'Première Suite des Mois de l'Année' with an allegory of the month of December. Wreaths with sausages and salami decorate the frame; the medaillon at the top center contains the zodiacal sign of the Capricorn. A man cooking pigs in the center of the composition while a woman and a man are baking breads on the right. At the bottom on a cartouche: 'Ite sue alio, vos vult enecare December / Ille ferit glebas, vt dulcia semina seruet / Cum pri Regis'. On the bottom right nr.´33´ l Engraving on paper, trimmed within platemark; total: 180 x 241 mm. State I/2 before plate numbering. Repaired on the top margin.
