Signed on the bottom left: 'TDKeyser delineavit 1621'(TDK monogrammed), on the right: 'I. Suyderhoff F.' On the oval frame around the portrait: 'HENDRICK DE KEYSER, BEELDT EN STEENHOUWER DES STADT AMSTERDAM'; on the cartouche below the portrait: 'Gheboren 1565 dem 15 May / Ghestorven 1621 / den 15 May.'
