This second edition NOT called-for in Royal Dutch Library, KB (later editions only). Dutch language survey by which the general public is informed about technological innovation in the first half of the nineteenth century, touching on many topices, including a considerable section about balloons, balloning and attempts to fly with many illustrations on pp. 70-101, vol. 2; steam engins and locomotives, large scale industries, natural history and physics, weaponry, and so-on. Good clean copy in original publ. cloth. (spine rather heavily worn especially on spine-ends, some occasional brown spots on versos, blanks, of lithographs, NOT affecting the illustration, lower inner hinge skilfully reinforced by a modern cloth strip).
