Author was a german and american journalist and writer of jewish ancestry, born in Vienna. After the rise of power of the nazi party he was imprisoned in the concentrationcamps of Dachau and Buchenwald, late 1930s. Due to the efforts of his wife Dors, he was released leaving for the U.S.A.
