Limited and numbered edition of 200 copies only, this copy bears nr. 95 (provenance on verso of french title). Ample illustrated french language cultural-historic survey of Yamato-e, is a style of Japanese painting inspired by T'ang Dynasty paintings and fully developed by the late Heian period. It is considered as the classical Japanese style. Good untrimmed copy. (hftitle foxed, occasional foxing to margins, mainly of versos of plates, spine with a modern cloth strip, all in all a reasonable copy of a rare work).
