Dutch language exhibition catalogue kept at the Royal Tropic Institute Amsterdam, featuring indonesian paintings and etchings by Jan Poortenaar, dutch painter, etcher, graphic artist, watercoloures, author and publisher. Poortenaar can be considered as a self-taught painter and artist, receiving some advice however by P. van Wijngaert. He arrived in dutch Indonesia in 1922, where he visited Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Bali. Good copy of this small but still interesting exhibition catalogue.
